2ish Months
(May 16th)
We receive confirmation from our OBYN with a positive pregnancy test and that we were 5 weeks. Up until this point, no pregnancy symptoms, but Sunday the 19th it all came: the heat, emotions, nausea, vomiting, etc.
8 Weeks 5 Days
(June 7th)
Nanea and I went in for our Dr. appointment. We got an ultrasound to confirm the heartbeat of baby. Dr. says that I am right on track and that baby is very healthy. What a relief! The past few weeks have been very hard because all of the sickness, tiredness and weakness has come. I feel great in the morning, but once 12 noon rolls around, everything changes and pregnancy hits hard. I've basically only been able to hold down my breakfast which consists of only milk and cheerios. It's been difficult to even have water. This is also more difficult because I have Nanea who has so much energy. She is running around and ever so clever so just laying down in bed or at the beach is not possible. We definitely take naps together, sometime 3 hours! I love it. I'm still running and walking every other day. And started playing VB on Fridays! Call be crazy, but this is the only time I actually feel good, normal and not pregs. My Dr. also said that I can and actually encourages me to do so. So, I will continue to workout as long as I can!
3 Months
(July 2nd)
14 Weeks 3 Days
(July 17th)
Had a check up Dr. appointment.
Weight: 136.2 lbs.
I've been sick. I can still hold down my breakfast cereal, but the rest of the day sucks. Who ever created the term "morning sickness" was soooo off. How's about AFTER 10am SICKNESS! The crappy thing is that no one can know nor choose how her body is going to react to a pregnancy. Luck ME (and my sisters) have crappy pregnancies. But, it's all worth it as long as baby is strong and healthy.
Things I can eat: apples, bottled water, pears, grapes, plums, pineapples, cereal with milk, and Subway sandwich. I literally eat Subway daily, not because I crave it, but it's the only food that stays in my stomach after breakfast. This has been Nanea and my daily excursion where I order the same thing: 1 foot long Italian bread, turkey, provolone cheese, toasted, lettuce, tomato's, onion, cucumber, jalapeno, pickles, salt and pepper, sweet onion sauce = $7.33.
4 Months-ish
(August 4th)
18 Weeks
(August 16)
Had a check up Dr. appointment at Castle's Hospital.
Weight: 141.6 lbs.
Baby has been moving a lot. I feel like I can feel moving earlier than I did with Nanea. I can eat a lot more now, but still have some bathroom episodes especially when I have citrus foods. I'm also getting bigger earlier, which I'm not so excited about. I will continue to run and workout.
18 Weeks, 6 Days
(August 17)
Today we went to Castle's Hospital for an ultra sound to find out that we are having another GIRL!
We are excited and a little relieved since we kind of know what it's like to care for one.
Month 5
Went to the Dr. to check on a rash that has been irritating me for a few days, on my forearms and around my hip bones under my belly. Come to find out, this pregnancy, my skin is more sensitive and reactive to our bath soap (Irish Spring), so I have to switch to Unscented Dove and apply a prescribed cream for a few days until it heals. Still running strong!
August 30 (21 weeks-ish)
Weight: 144.6 pounds
Total weight gain = 9.6 pounds
Tummy measuring: 23 inchs (2 weeks ahead and it feels like it)
Today I had a check up at Castle's. I feel a lot more fatigued and dizzy. I think it's because school is back and in full effect. I can eat more, however, I still have no idea as to what I want to eat. Last night, I just wanted yellow cake and ice cream only because I knew that I wouldn't have any problem digesting it. I eat a lot of turkey sandwiches, which I make for school, eat a lot of apples and eat some chips. Still running, but now have more urges to pee from baby's growth.
Pregnant photo's taken by Ashlee DeCaires!
Month 6
This month actually flew by. I'm sure it's because school is back in session, I have so many things to occupy my time. Still throwing up a little here and there. Having a hard time regulating my temperature which is probably from the school-stress of worrying about assignments. I'm glad that my school load is lighter than my past semesters, but I'm worrying more about having to move out of TVA and pass my FE Exam come October. Random cravings, I think. Just really hungry and tired. I still feel great running, but can feel the added weight and pressure. Getting leg cramps. Still sleeping on back when I can. Sleep on sides otherwise.
Month 7 (27 weeks)
Weight: 154.8 pounds
Total weight gain: 19.2 pounds
Tummy measuring: 27 weeks (back on track)
Month 8 (30-31 weeks)
November 9th
Weight: 162.4 pounds
Total weight gain: 27.4 pounds
Tummy measuring: 30 weeks
Having trouble breathing. Baby is really active and moving around a lot. More tired every day. Kris and Chantel have been very helpful in watching after Nanea so that I can take a nap. My days of running are over. Now I just walk with Nanea in the morning around BYU and Laie. We often go grocery shopping at Foodland too.
Month 9 (36 weeks)
December 13th
Weight:165.8 pounds
Total weight gain: 30.8 pounds
Tummy measuring: 36 weeks
Now I'm very uncomfortable all of the time. Baby girl is head down and kicks around like crazy. I'm exhausted and starting to swell in my legs, but not too much. It's a good thing that I'm pau with school. My taste buds really suck this pregnancy. I can't figure out what I want to eat and really, what my body wants. Food that I have liked are: lagsagna, Kahuku Grill burgers, spaghetti, cereal, wheat-bix, and sandwiches with chips just to name a few. I'm feeling huger than ever. The count down is on with just 4 weeks left. I will start having weekly Dr. visits.
Month 9 (36 weeks 3 days)
December 18th
Weight: 168 pounds
Total weight gain: 133 pounds
Tummy still measuring: 36 weeks
It seems like baby is dropping after all of the lifting and squatting from moving out of our TVA house. I'm just hoping that I'll make it to January because others around me, like Sanoe DeCaires, have gone into labor at 37 weeks.
January 5th (Saturday)
Weight: 171 lbs.
False alarm! At 1pm my contractions were getting stronger and closer so Jase and I headed lot the hospital at 3pm first stopping at McDonalds since we thought that it may be our last meal and by the time we got there they were 5 minutes apart. But, of course, as we checked in and settled down, they slowed down. So we walked round for 30 minutes to see if any changes would happen, but moths did. So we checked out of the hospital and headed to Mililani to pick Nanea up.
January 7th (Monday)
Weight: 171 lbs.
Tummy: 24 inches
Baby has dropped even more. I'm dilated 3-4 cm now but still no contractions like before. I'm having a harder time sleeping because the circulation is cut off in my legs. I've had some vomiting which is not too exciting either. Nanea is getting used to the fact that baby is in mommy's tummy and likes to kiss and talk to her. We're waiting until baby girl is born until we come up with a name. N swelling in y legs, but it's definitely harder to walk around. Bought at $30 bassinet for baby since Nanea is still inner crib and. Don't really have the space for a other bed.
January 12th (Saturday)
40 weeks
Weight: 172.2 lbs
Ready for an induction!
