December

*1st (Saturday)-We started the month off right by going to the temple this morning and doing initiatories. Nanea was watched by our neighbors from Malaysia.  She loves playing with them.  Then, Papa Smith surprised us arriving with Grandma tonight. It's been almost a year since we've last spent time with them.  Nanea was ready to greet grandma with a pink and yellow plumerial lei she made that day.
*4th (Tuesday) I had an exiting interview with the CEE Chair with lunch provided.
*6th (Thursday) Jason had a last minute job interview with Bobby Benson Center in Kahuku. We're hoping that he gets this job because of  its prime location.  Just a few hours after the interview, he received a call informing him that he got the job!!!  I know that my husband is very qualified for this type of work and very talented in this field, but I can't help but acknowledge that him getting this job was very quick reward and blessing from our Heavenly Father for going to the temple and doing our best in keeping the commandments. He'll start on January 2, 2013 and work the 7am-3pm shift as a perdium worker $12/hr.  This may not be much, but the convinience of being here in Kahuku, close to home and a good schedule is perfect for us.  We'll just continue to live within our means.
*7th (Friday) Jason and I celebrated graduation with a dinner buffet and concert at PCC with Amy Hanaiali'i as the headline. The DeCaires' watched Nanea for us. We enjoyed the Christmas lights canoe ride between the feed and the music.
*12th (Wednesday) Nanea's Christmas party in Kahuku with the Head Start program.
*13th (Thursday) My last day of school! Jason's last day of work as an RA at TVA! Enjoyed a graduation celebratory dinner with Uncle Les at Leilei's!
*14th (Friday) Jason's last day of school! My Engineering Convocation Ceremony/Dinner!
Our graduation announcement
*We went to the temple to do initiatories while Nanea spent more time with papa and grandma.
*17th (Monday) Reality has finally come. We moved out of TVA, our home for the past 2 years. Cousin Taj helped tremendously and so did grandma and papa (he looked after Nanea for us). Since we can't move into our apartment until the end of the month, we got lucky and were able to store out of our hs at cousin Koa's place (where we used to live), a few things at Renee Ledesma's and then others at tutu's house. We had to move out by 12pm and we made it! Now we'll be homeless staying at tutu's, Jermaine's and the Ale's while we wait for our apartment.

*20th (Thursday) Brunch at boots and Kimo's and PCC Lagoon ride for Christmas lights.
*22nd (Saturday) Grandma and papa went back home to NZ.
*23rd (Sunday) Christmas brunch with the Takeguchi 'Ohana, a family tradition. They had some Ono Hawaiian food. Nanea had a nice time running around and sitting on Santa's lap.
*24th (Monday) Christmas Eve dinner at Toots house up Pacific Palisades with cousins from my mothers side of the family.
*25th (Tuesday) This year, we spent Christmas with the Crabbe 'ohana in Mililani. Uncle Mahi was in town and mom and Uncle Pi'i. We woke up, opened presents and had breakfast. This was Nanea's second Christmas and didn't really get it because after Nanea opened her first present with daddy, a book, she was pretty much done with presents. She wanted to read the book and eat breakfast. But she opened the others with the help of daddy and mommy, bubbles from Aunty Kris, water car from Aunty Mahina, pillow pet from tutu, and many more. Daddy was more excited to open presents than everyone else. Some of the things we received were gift cards, Christ picture frame, and toys.  Went to Makaha for a surf. Had dinner at the Perry's house. Then bath and nap with tutu. Dinner a the Perry's.

*29th (Saturday) we finally got to move into our apartment here in La'ie. Our new address is 55-157 Pu'uahi St. We live down stairs in a one bedroom. After having moved out of TVA we definitely realize that we have too much junk. So while unpacking I've been going through things and either selling or giving away stuff like our microwave, clothes, etc.
*31st (Monday) We walked around La'ie watching all of the fire works go off. We only invested $2 into pop pops for Nanea, which daddy ended up popping. Said hi to the Kaka's who were also taking it easy this year. Nanea fell asleep before New Years and I woke Jason up 5 minutes before the count down. I guess we're staring to show our age! It's a little difficult welcoming in the new year when we can go into labor any minute.
