Today was so cool! After more than 6 months of planning, we finally did it! We surprised everyone by traveling to New Zealand for our Christmas holiday. Dad (our only accomplice) picked us up from the airport.
1st stop-Surprise mum at home right after her morning prayer. She about fell off her bed when she opened her eyes.
2nd stop-Surprise Aunty Mahina. We actually planned on surprising her at home, while we stood outside, but we had a minor change in plans when we found out that her car was stolen. We showed up in her drive way. She just melted to pieces and so did Aunty Tash.
*pit stop at Pokeno for ice cream, chicken, chips and pie
3rd stop-Surprise Uncle Ross and Aunty Maraea at their home with most of the kids. Maraea almost snapped at the weird people taking pictures of the kids then hung up her phone call when she realized who we were. Israel said, "Uncle Jase is here!" And, Ross ran out to grab Nanea.
4th stop-Surprise Aunty Kris at work. Although she didn't notice while walking in from her lunch break. Her work was in on it (once they realized that we were only there to see her and not take photos of others, since it's against the law). She came out, escorted by the security to find Nanea with Jase, and the weird photographer.
5th stop-Surprise Aunty Keao at home. Aunty Wendy almost spoiled the surprise spotting Jase, but we found them all enjoying the bright sunny day. Keao was just so happy!
6th stop-Surprise Aunty Lee at Uncle Ross' since we couldn't track her down with Kris in Dinsdale. Since we had minor camera complications, we hid in the bathroom and then surprised her after she had tended to Kingston!
This was the greatest Christmas present we could have received. Jason and I truly enjoyed surprising everyone that it was the most rewarding gift of joy we could have received this holiday..now everyone can tell who ever they want.
Yay! Now post pictures!!!
ReplyDeletehow do you record water running down my face and tightening of my chest with emotion so full i could almost burst??? and this is and always will be the best surprise ever...so timely for all of us. You two have so much influence for good...oops, sorry, you three!
ReplyDeleteAlso, how do you "like" every single one of these pics and comments without being so annoying? So, this is a blanket "like/love" for your whole blog.
Thank you Kekai, one of the kindest things you do to help us keep in touch...even if we don't check regularly, the effect is still the same when we actually do read this.
Love you for the beautiful person you are, inside and out!
