Kekai:
Anyone who thought/thinks that living life single is the best is wrong. This year, although it has been absolutely the most challenging, has been the best year of my life (thus far). While pregnancy and labor were not a walk in the park in addition to going school, I have never been so grateful for the blessing that Jason and I have been given to be parents to our beautiful daughter, Nanea. Living in Laie is an added blessing because we have been surrounded by good family and friends who help us too. My love for Jason has grown and grows daily as I see him as a loving and providing father and as he continues to take care and share his life with me. He makes me laugh and keeps me happy. The joy I receive from coming home to Jason and Nanea is unmeasurable. I am excited for our future.
Jason:
Dec, 2011 marked our 2 year wedding anniversary with some big events going on. First... WE got through the toughest semester to date for our schooling and managed to pass all our classes. For me, school put a particular strain on my ability to function normally in the home, especially with school work. It wasn't until the last few weeks that we made an adjustment and I did homework in the tva office that i could think and have clarity (Note also for up coming semester). Kekai has been experiencing similar pains as she continues to travel to UH everyday both with and without Nanea. Contributors to our ability to be in school go to Val - who watched her every monday for the semester and more near the ending, Cousin Lindy and Aaron Maluo, Rianna Ah su, Ruth Karaitiana, Sara Perriton, me and Kekai. ;P we really would not have been able to make it through the semester without them. I have seen my wife develop into a better mother and wife. I have also learned a lot about both of us as a companionship. I am happy with the things we have accomplished this year in school and am even more to have been blessed with Nanea Mahinarangi Smith. She really does help me to put everything else into perspective. She is always happy :) and looking to her mother and I to learn from. We are soo blessed that she is who she is because she is our pride and joy. Love you both my baby... and my daughter. Mwaah!
