She's Here!

  • Today I make 40 weeks pregnant with this baby girl who has yet decided to come out. So, as we did with her sister Nanea, we scheduled an induction. This is how the day unfolded:
  • Friday 11th-Saturday 12th We spent the night at Tutu's house so that she and Pi'i could have a good day with Nanea while Jason and I went into labor.
  • Morning-Jason got up and went for a surf at Ehu Kai, just to start the day off on a good note. Nanea and I enjoyed breakfast and zippy's chilli and played.
  • 8:30am-got a call from Castle Hospital awaiting our arrival. I thought that our Dr. told us to check in at any time after 8am, but come to find out she actually scheduled the induction for 8am. Oh, well.
  • 10am-Checked into the Hospital after stopping at Costco to fill up on gas. Nanea stayed with tutu and had a full day of the zoo, walmart, kailua and playing with animals, came to the hospital and welcomed her sister.
  • 12noon-I was finally hooked up to everything and the petosin was going.
  • 2pm-My contractions were steady between 2 and 3 minutes. I was 4-5cm dilated and got my epidural
  • 4:45pm-Dr. Moore Broke my water and I went up to 7cm
  • 7pm-I started feeling more pressure and getting ready to push.
  • 7:30pm-started pushing and not more than 5 contractions later, Baby Girl was born at 7:41pm.
Weight: 8 pounds 4 ounces
Length: 20.5 inches
Head: 13 inches (she definitely has a Crabbe head)
  • After all of that, it was time to spend time with Nanea, tutu, and Pi'i, and skype with anyone who happened to be online.

  • 13th (Sunday) Recovery. I Was finally able to stand up, take a shower and eat! Nanea came over to hang out with us and baby. She's already a great older sister wanting to hug and kiss her. We really miss her. She came with tutu and a balloon. Jason went home because he had to be at work by 7am the next morning. So it was just me and baby at the hospital for the night. The DeCaires' came over to visit and so did Uncle Koa.
