1 week

So baby is one week old and we have finally come down with a routine. In just one week he has vpbeen out and about due to the fact that I have major cabin fever. I hate being inside and with the other two sisters around, I like to take them our to get tired and then come home to give them a nap.
Times he usually eats are: 12 am, 3am, 7am, 11am, 3-4 pm, 7-8ish pm. He latches on really well and on our first day of school, he went with Aunty Uila and drank from his bottle very well. He is so cute.  Nanea always says "mommy, he's kind of cute huh?!" His sisters are so good with hi . They are very soft and love to kiss him gently.  They on the other hand have been more confrontational, getting on each other's nerves.  Hali'a has had a slight adjustment to not being the youngest anymore. Nanea is also more on edge knowing that she is the oldest child. I know that they are both going through adjustments and I have been very short with everyone which is not necessarily helping the situation. I'm grateful for a very patient husband.p cause who really goes all over the place only 1-2 days after leaving the hospital from having a baby. I trypuly count myself blessed for a very healthy body that allows me to recuperate so quickly. I can't wait to be able to work out again. Maybe my husband will come along too! I guess the hardest thing for us right now is coming up with name for hepim. We can't seem to agree on anything.  We have ideas, but nothing settled. This is baby with his first time at the beach. I've been sitting outside with him in the sun to help treat the jaundice. His eyes still look very hpyellow. We will go to the dr for anothe check up tomorrow. He's starting to take on his own look. We are curious to apse what he will look like as he grows. We love our baby boy.

Very light headed... Needed oxygen mask. Got to eat solids. Baby feeding easily. Latched on right away. So exhausted! Still throwing up. Need Zofran. Baby is so cute! We love him so much. So blessed for a safe and great delivery. No tearing! We wanted the girls to come over but when we asked Nanea, she said "I'm so sorry but we're eating chicken nuggets right now!"
18th (Monday)
After our first night at the hospital...
Baby, mommy and daddy had a good nights rest. The nurses were very awesome tending tootp me and baby providing pain relievers and ice chips with crackers.baby is still spitting up a little of the amniotic fluid but he is all good. No big cries, just some whimpers. Jason went to pick up the girls from tutu, got a jump from the security guard but then broke down on the side of the road on the way down the hill on the Pali so she came to get him and they all went to windward mall to Service the car at Sears. We just needed a new battery to our relief. Jase took the girls to play in the mall meanwhile. Leisha came to visit. We had a good catch up with birth stories. Then, the girls finally came to see me and their brother. They were so cute and gentle. We ate and watched tinker bell,..then Lindy came to visit and take the girls for the night. I finally got to take a shower. Its been a hard day of recovery with dizziness. So hopefully I'll get some good rest tonight so we can check out tomorrow.
19th (Tuesday)
After our second night at the hospital...
Baby was a bit fussy all night. Just wanted to eat every hour and once I put him down wanted to be picked up. Finally managed to get some sleep at 4am. He passed all of his tests, hearing, got his shots and was cleaned up. Today we are scheduled to do heck out by 11am. Before that he will be getting circumcised. Jason went home with the girls last night and are on their way back to spend family time this morning and it will be our first family ride home all together. I am in love with my little growing family. This was today's breakfast message...trust in God...

Baby was testing high for jaundice so they did some blood work, but ended up checking us out f the hospital with a follow up visit to hid dr. The next say. Later that night we had a visit from Aunty Keao and the Peaua's. Then we also had the Kyla, ani, Julz and the Kaka's over. Lucky we have so much love and support around us. Our hau'ula fourth wad provided dinner for the night the next two nights as we'll.

20th (Wednesday)
Went to the dr and he said everything is ok with baby. He ordered a blood test to be done anyways the next say.

21st (Thursday)
daddy's birthday. We ended up going to get baby's blood tests done at Kahuku 10am. An hour later we received an alarming call from the dr to rush him to kapi'olani because his results were high around 22. So we took off for town. He got more blood work done at kapi'olani and it came back as 17 so we're sent down to the ER to possibly check in over night. After many hours of waiting, we were given the ok to return home with baby with another follow up with dr the next morning.

But just the opposite happened. Couldn't sleep and missed my girls like crazy!
  • 16th (Saturday) went to 50th birthday party of Milton kaka. It was so entertaining. Waited around all morning to hear back from dr to see if I could get induced. She called back aroun 1pm which by then was too late because we didn't want to have to deliver at 3am) so she scheduled us to check-in Sunday morning between 8 and 9am. This was kind of a relief because I really wanted to spend some god time with ,y girls even though they have so much fun with the Peaua's, tutu and Pi'i. We just love our children! We ended up going to the ice palace for a cousin's birthday party. Nanea loved it, skating like queen Elsa and Ana with her cousins. We were afraid that she would be too small but they had her size foot and mani's so Jason road around the kid section with them one at a time. They loved it! Hali'a was good also looking at them through the glass and then playing on her own at the games pressing all of the buttons.
