• 1st (Wednesday)We welcomed in the New Year with Kayla, Juliet and Tiana. Since the girls are afraid of fire-works and have asthma, we went by the Temple top and watched all of the fireworks go off from up there. It was a beautiful view.  The girls stayed with us for a few days until they checked into their dorms and settled in. It's nice that we have been given many opportunities to help family and friends here in Hawaii from all over the place. 
• 12th (Sunday) Celebrated Hali'a's 1st Birthday (Refer to post)
• 20th (Monday) Celebrated Tutu's birthday with her with a bbq at her house.
• 22nd (Wednesday) Jason started the second semester of Practicum at Hale o Ho'oulu a me Maoli Ola

Hali'a has grown so quickly. She can walk and run around all on her own. After much hesitation we finally decided to do a very last minute get together with friends and family here in Laie at laie elementary park. We had some cake and ice cream as the kids just played around. It was awesome for such a last minute party. Hali'a loved it. She clapped to everyone singing to her happy birthday. Nanea as always looked after her and fed her cake and ice cream. She even kept her headband that tutu brought for her.

Our Hali'a has so much personality. She likes to pucker her lips up and make all kinds of different faces. She is a tough tita and holds her ground around others.  She has a way of communicating with words already like: hi, mama, daddy, water, sit down, outside, open, etc.
