*24th (Monday) Went to do some therapy and learn preventative exercises I can do for vertigo in Wahiawa.
*28th (Friday) Spent the afternoon with Peaua's at Ala Moana beach and watched the fireworks at the Hilton Hawaiian Village.
*29th (Saturday) The Daniels 'ohana finally flew in.  It was the first time that they met the Peaua 'ohana.  We went straight to Ho'omaluhia to fish with all of the kids.

Hali'a 5 months, Nanea 2yrs 3 months

Hali'a:
19 pounds 4 ounces

  • She is so cute and cubby!
  • is so interactive and responsive to her surroundings.
  • enjoys playing with her new toy on loan from aunty roo Kalama.
  • fights going to sleep but surrenders once I've got her latched on
  • stays up more during the day.
  • moves around more, touches her toes and rocks side to side. Still can't roll over yet
  • recognizes her mommy and daddy and Nanea.

Nanea:

  • seems to think she can do more things by herself. She wants to work the iPad by herself more.
  • gets more scoldings.
  • Likes to take care of her baby bear putting it to sleep and letting it play in the bounce.
  • Loves reading books. I've gone back to reading her a book before taking a nap. She loves reading the potty book. I'm not sure why I stopped because she goes down for her nap very easily.
  • is used to sleeping in the bed next to me.
  • is potty trained but now we're just working on her going by herself.
  • can obey more than 2 part commands, understands complex/compound sentences, matches black and white, can build a tower of blocks (8+), and can imitate horizontal strikes.
  • likes to get her hair done and look at her "pretty hair" in the mirror.  She pulls out her dora chair, sits patiently and passes me the rubber bands.
  • She can cut with scisors, open doors by turning theknob, unbotton large buttons, identify rooms in our house, recognize familiar adults in photos, knows more body parts, can displace hidden objects behind a screen.
